Great performance but disappointing venue
Chase Center might be great for basketball, but for concerts it is a huge disappointment. It was sad to see such a world class performer and amazing symphony perform under such terrible conditions. The sound system was terrible, and the acoustics even worse. Though Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike and symphony did a great job, the smell of greasy food in the air and filth in the passageways was off-putting. Views of the performers were terrible, with no jumbotrons or any video. Not what I was expecting from a supposedly new state of the art facility. The old Oakland Coliseum had better concerts. Crowd management and flow were also terrible, and if there had been an emergency, it most certainly would end in tragedy. Performances at this venue are not worth the money. I will not attend another concert at Chase Center until serious improvements are made.
